ABOUT THE BAND:
One of Unique traits of The Band 56iX is that their vocalist Farooq can sing in both Male and Female voices. A band which works in almost all the genres. “The Band 56iX” has been playing in the underground scene since 2003 and hopes to satisfy its listeners by puting its best in the music it produces…

The word “56ix” means “Playing under every genre and keeping it UNIQUE“.

The Band has two members; Farooq, the VOICE of 56iX and Umer, the Rhythm.
The band has proven itself to be unique and versatile with their Debut Video “MANN RE”, which has hit the TOP CHARTS in less than a weeks time. The Vocalist (FAROOQ) has sung this song in two voices, the male voice and the female voice, which is a unique fact and has given then band great appreciation throughout Pakistan and in the outer parts as well.

56iX believes that their satisfaction lies in the satisfaction of their listeners and the updated quality they add to the Pakistani Music Scene…

Little ChitChat with ‘ Band 56iX ‘

1, How long have you been playing? What is 56iX ??

The word “56ix” means “Playing under every genre and keeping it UNIQUE”.the number represents that we are working in all genres as all the genres can not be explained in a single word.

2, Tell us about debut video?

the video has been shot in karachi under the direction of soheb akhtar.the concept of the video is that the band had a female vocalist in it and she left the band after having a fight with umer ejaz .Umer ejaz is upset because of all that has  happened and he goes back to the jam room where they used to jam while cleaning mirror of the room he hears the voice of the same girl who left the band. when he looks back to see if she is there he sees farooq who has just figured out that he can sing in a female voice and gives umer a look that we can still do it without any female vocalist. the members get excited n start jaming again.

3, When do we expect an album ?

WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE STRUCTURES OF OUR SONGS AND SHALL BE HITTING THE STUDIOS VERY SOON.

4, How do you see the internet market for upcoming/underground bands in terms of marketing tool and what do u expect?

INTERNET, WE’D SAY, IS THE ONLY MEDIUM AND SOURCE OF APPRECIATION FOR THE UNDERGROUND BANDS WHO PUT IN ALOT OF EFFORTS TO REACH OUT TO THE MASSES.
THE BAND 56IX IS FLASHING ON ALMOST EVERY MUZIK CHANNEL, BUT LIKES TO CATER TO THE ONLINE/INTERNET MARKET AS WELL, WHO FINDS IT HARD TO TAKE TIME OUT OFF THEIR BUSY SCHEDULES TO SIT IN FRONT OF THE TV SCREENS. INTERNET HAS MADE IT EASY FOR EVERYONE TO WATCH THE BAND 56IX ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

5, Female Vocals in your debut song Mann Re? detailed answer 😉

AS YOU HAVE HEARED THE SONG “MANN RE”, THE MALE VOICE AND FEMALE VOICE IS OF THE SAME GUY, FAROOQ, THE VOCALIST OF THE BAND 56IX. FAROOQ HAS PROVEN THAT THE BAND IS UNIQUE AND VERSATILE TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT, WHICH LEADS TO PROVING A FAMOUS QUOTE “everything is possible and is worth giving a shot”

Great work ….. indeed a change in stagnant music industry of ours….. a brilliant work by a brilliant guy…… he rocks and he is good at what he does….. from past many years we were listening same rhythms same style of singing by many bands…. but this one is different for sure.. My advice is to follow his work and be prepared to astonished by his unique work.

    i have never heard of this band before but thore dinon se harkoi keh raha hai 56ix ka gana 56ix ka gana ! and now i finally saw the video…kahan se nikalte ho yeh awaz :s hamari singers ko bhi sikhado k aise gate hein…im in love with this song….it reminds me of A r rahman style boht acha

  28. Good composition but the song seems to lack a punch. I don’t see why a guy has to sing in a girl’s voice? For a reality show on t.v it might be good but its not a circus. I still dont like the idea of mimicking a girl’s voice its a bit lame. Sorry to say.

  32. well well well .. just ask umer who’s song it really is. go back few years and try to recall who composed this song and wrote the lyrics. its really sad to know that his name is not even mentioned here and they are trying to take all the credit by themselves, i personally think that guy really should be given due credit.

    many people here would find it obscure and offending but i just want to convey this message to the band, that this is totally unfair and unjust. They know what I am talking about. Just give it a thought as it all can haunt back!
