PMR.What is your Date of Birth and birth place? Where have you spend your childhood?
Urwa: My date of birth is 2nd july 1991 and I was born right here in Karachi . I have spent my childhood all over Pakistan because my father is in Army , and it has been quite an adventurous experience .
PMR. We have seen you struggle in becoming a VJ. What kept you determined?
Urwa: I wanted to be a vj since I was in 5th grade and the urge to do something different and bring the change in the mindsets of our youth, kept me determined . I think I can pretty much do all dis through my shows in which I visit campuses like the show ‘’ Campus Star ‘’ nd my campaighn ‘’ Djuice Bring It on ‘’
PMR. ‘Damagh Ki Ghanti” in whose brain was the concept developed?
Urwa: The whole ARY team is behind the concept and ofcoarse they are quite gud with bringing new ideas of shows that would attract the youth .
PMR. You have acted and modeling in couple of videos and acted too. How was your experience and how did it help you in the field of VJ?
Urwa: I started acting from Islamabad Theatre >. The plays I did include ‘’Marry Poppins ‘’ , ‘’Chicago’’ and a lot many more. Then like u said I did a couple of music videos nd sitcoms on screen nd I have been into modeling as well nd I love doing all dis . I would say that Vjing nd acting r 2 different fields because VJ ing is not acting – its what u naturally are :)*
PMR.Who has been your ultimate source of source of support?
Urwa: Like most of the people my ultimate source of strength nd support is my mom ! shes the coolest mom ever nd my best friend.
PMR. If you were not a VJ the what had you been?
Urwa: If I wasn’t a vj I would b a lawyer to specially do something for the women in Pakistan which eventually will make my country a better plc . By the way I am InshaAllah going to become a lawyer very soon : )
PMR. What impression does PMR (pakmediarevolution.net) make on you?
Urwa: PMr is quite a gud initiative to bring forward da fesh talent from our youth .. and like I said before I hav become a VJ for our youth and ARY is also doing the same job pretty well ! so I really appreciate the efforts put in by PMR nd I think they are doing a great job : )*
