Atif Aslam is one such star, who has received love and hatred both across the border. He is a widely recognized in South Asia and has given several hit songs such as Aadat, Woh Lamhe, Tere Bin, Pehli Nazar Mein, Tera Hone Laga Hoon, Tu Jaane Na, Tere Liye, Meri Kahani and Jalpari. He is best known for his powerful vocal belting technique. In 2008, he was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan.

Aslam has also sung many songs for Bollywood films, like Pehli Nazar Mein in Race, Bakuda Tum Hi Ho in Kismat Konnection, Tera Hone Laga Hoon and Tu Jaane Na in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, both of which have been well-received by the Indian audience.
However, Atif Aslam has again proved himself to be a real rockstar with his live concerts with Sunidhi Chauhan in San Francisco, Oakland and other international cities. Yes, Sinidhi, who once labelled Atif as overrated, is rocking these days with Atif Aslam on her tour.Indian singers have started to publicly insult Atif Aslam on national television, criticizing his singing and his songs, which I think is terribly unfair and uncalled for. They do these thing to gain popularity and increase rating among their fans. But in the end “A really great talent finds its happiness in execution.” 🙂 Enjoy!
