Talented Qawwal Maqbool Sabri passed away of heart attack today. He was a renowned Qawwal and was the brother of great Qawwal Ghulam Fareed Sabri. The famous Duo of these two brothers proved themselves in the field of Qawwali by giving legendary pieces like ‘Tajdar e Haram’ and reached to the top level of Qawwali in South Asia.
Sir Maqbool Sabri was suffering from cardiac disease and was going to South Africa to get the right treatment but he passed away this evening.
His death is a great loss to the Qawali industry of both the neighboring countries; Pakistan and India.With the deaths of great artists like Moin Akhter, Babu Baral, Jamil Fakhri, Mastana and Liaquat soldier, his death is also a great setback to the Pakistani media industry and its people and no one can never ever take his place.
