Urban Desi performer The PropheC writes, produces and sings his own songs in Punjabi. His influences range from classic singers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to new popular artists like Justin Timberlake and A.R. Rahman.
But while he pays tribute to these artists, his music is still very much his own. Since the debut of his first single “Sohni”, the PropheC has been playing gigs regularly throughout his hometown of Calgary and Western Canada.
But it doesn’t stop there, as this passionate performer has caught the attention of fans and radio stations as far as India, France and the U.K.
Currently, The PropheC has just finished his debut album which is releasing on September 2, 2011.
