Following a 3 year break, the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Musical Society [NFAK] of Lahore Grammar School Johar Town, in collaboration with Punjnad Environmental Society, presents GRAMMAR ROCK 2012 featuring Call The Band and Soch Live in this month of February!

Call is touring Pakistan as well as performing a number of other side shows off the back of a highly anticipated album ”Dhoom”, featuring smash Bollywood singles including ‘Laree Chootee’ [from Ek Chalis Ki Last Local] – ‘Yeh Pal’ [from Aasma: The Sky Is the Limit] – ‘Dharkay Jiya’ [from Aloo Chaat]. Their single “Ho Jaane De” was recently awarded the ‘Tune Of The Month’ by BBC Asia. This album also includes patriotic songs like ‘Humse Hai Ye Zamana’ and ‘Aasmaan – out now through Jilawatan Productions.

Soch, the band, comprises of two very talented musicians, Adnan Dhool and Rabi Ahmed. The duo offers a unique, fresh and soulful approach to folk melodies, soft love ballads and hard rock/pop tracks. Their debut single “Bundeya,” took the music scene by storm with its Sufi feel. Soch’s first album is under production at the Xth harmonic studios that has already celebrated albums, notably Aadat by Jal.

GrammarRock is one of those most remarkable events that brings together students from various schools under one roof with highly competitive and professional musicians; thereby serving as a platform for an open and wide-ranging musical night.

This time we’ve incorporated Grammar Rock with a three-day Environmental Moot and Summit, MOSUM (http://www.facebook.com/mosum2012). The motive is to discuss the threats lingering upon our Environment, and to find out mutual pragmatic solutions to save it from any further degradation. Join us in rescuing our own earth!

Make sure you don’t miss out & get to Lahore Grammar School to catch Call and Soch LIVE and for your chance to meet the band!
