Saif Ali Khan, 42, the current Nawab of Pataudi, is registered as Sajid Ali Khan – his original name – in his marriage application, which had been filed at the Bandra Court in Mumbai. Kareena Kapoor’s age too, is mentioned as 31 in the application, indicating that it was filed much earlier, since the actress turned 32 on September 21.

if and Kareena’s wedding festivities started on Sunday night with the sangeet. On Monday night, the Kapoors and the Khans drove to a Mumbai five-star – which is also the venue of the wedding – for dinner, and also for a last-minute check on the final arrangements. Saif, Bebo, one of Saif’s uncles from London, his mother Sharmila Tagore, sister Soha and her boyfriend Kunal Kemmu, and Kareena’s mother Babita, were part of the group. The bride’s father Randhir, however, was missing.
Around noon on Tuesday, the registrar went to Saif’s house to register the marriage. The couple then exchanged rings and after that, headed to South Mumbai for the wedding ceremony, where they exchanged vows. Later, Saifeena’s friends – a select group of 80 people – danced to songs from the couple’s films.
