England set a target of 182 runs. Pakistan reached the target of another 13 with the loss of one wicket. Mohammad Akram smashed 103 runs from 43 balls while Amir Ashfaq hit 34 runs not out. Pakistan team with a wonderful display of skills remained unbeaten in the tournament, outscoring England, Australia, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, West Indies and Bangladesh in the first round.
