The genuine couple Danish Taimoor & Aiza Khan, who are going to be hitched in few months time. The couple will be featuring in the Wajahat Rauf’s drama Jab We Wed.
Wajahat Rauf, The Director and Producer lets us know the behind the scene tale about drama Jab We Wed, “About a year ago, the extremely talented writer Mohsin Ali brought a story to me that got me excited in the first 10 seconds. Unfortunately no channel wanted to do it as it was a romantic comedy and people were of the opinion that this genre is not for tv as it is too much like a film. Finally Urdu 1 saw merit in the project and commissioned us to proceed with it.
Casting had to be just right and it took a long time. Danish and Aiza seemed to make good sense as they are great actors and are also getting married in real life so the chemistry was obviously there. Things just fell into place. Since the story is about Danish’s character fulfilling his mother’s (Bushra Ansari) dying wish to marry one of her 3 khala’s daughters, the three cousins ended up being played by Nimra Khan, Hira Salman Sheikh and Fizza Zehra, all extremely talented actors.
The icing on the cake was Bushra apa. I remember she told me she was busy for months but when she heard the story and her character, she shuffled her schedule to make this work. It is our honour and pleasure to work with someone as experienced and talented as her. Me and Mohsin will also be grateful.

Jab We Wed, although an inspired name, has nothing to do with the movie but the name had such a nice ring to it that we decided to go ahead with it. JWW premiers this Eid on Urdu one.”
