Saad Haroon becomes Second Funniest Person in the World
Pakistan’s stand-up comedian, the very talented who has been quite in the news lately for his achievements in Laugh Factory’s Funniest Person in the World has been successful in bringing home the second position in the finals of the same competition.
Online voting system determined the winner. Voting started on October 24 and ended on October 27, during which Ismo Leikola of Finland managed to secure 158,945 votes, crowning him the competition’s winner, whereas Haroon was the runner-up with 59,213 votes.
There were five finalists which included Mustapha El Atrassi from France who secured third position, Nitin Mirani from the Emirates (UAE) who came in fourth and Archie from Spain managed the final position.
Saad has been quite popular for his comedy in Pakistan previously, The Real News, one of Saad’s show was Pakistan’s first ever English language comedy show and Saad Haroon: Very Live was Pakistan’s first ever solo English language stand-up comedy tour which was also adapted into a television series with the same name.
