Speaking to a renowned Indian newspaper, Hindustan Times, Mahira expressed her feeling visiting India and the response from the fans across the border, ‘It was amazing. I recently joined Twitter and have experienced craziness since. Yesterday, I was at a mall and people kept coming up to meet me. It has been quite humbling.’

Bol’s leading actress expressed some on her recently joined twitter account:

Mahira also talked her mind out about Bollywood and her favorite the industry has produced, ‘They are far more advanced, while our film industry is still re-emerging right now. I loved the black-and-white movies of the 1950s and 1960s, including films like Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa and Dilip Kumar’s Tarana. Shahrukh Khan’s movies are my favourite. As a teenager, I watched Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge during breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was obsessed with it.’

Mahira, 31, did tell in her interview about her will to be seen at the big screens of India but denied any rumors that she has signed anything yet opposite Ranveer Singh.

Currently married and a mother, Mahira told that her current marital status won’t effect her career, if she ever enters in Bollywood, which looks inevitable now.

‘You tend to take up lesser work as you give more time to your personal life once you have a family. I’m lucky to be offered good work, and I maintain a balance between my work and personal life. Our industry has a family-friendly environment. Cinema is still considered an art in Pakistan and not a business.’

Her success in India is growing with the growing fan following of both her dramas and herself, we are hoping to see the former video jockey to follow Fawad Khan to Bollywood very soon. An advance best of luck to Mahira Khan.
