Rahat Fateh Ali Khan called to perform at Nobel Peace Prize Concert
Already legendary singer and composer, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be performing at Nobel Peace Prize Concert at the Oslo Spektrum Arena on December 11.
This won’t be the first time any Pakistani singer would be performing at the event as previously ‘Junoon‘ played it live back in 2007. The news of RFAK performing was officially tweeted by Nobel Prize account and the singer’s facebook page too.
‘Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will perform at the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11 in Oslo, Norway honoring Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi.’ Rahat’s Official Facebook page announced.
The event would be hosted by Queen Latifah, and will honor the works of peace and promoting child education for both India’s Kailash Sathyarti and Pakistan’s very own Malal Yousafzai, particularly for female education and rights.
The Nobel Peace Prize Concert is held every year which gathers the artist from all over the world to spread the colors or music and in this way pay tribute to all peace workers around the world. From Rap to Classic to Rock, all kind of music genres and musicians are invited to take part.
Along with RFAK, other artists performing this year will include Steven Tyler, Laura Mvula and to add the spice to the dish, a Bollywood number is included to entertain the audience to its full.
