She lived through almost nine generations. Her grandchildren having their own grandchildren, Sudha Shivpuri was the only character in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ who would always remain there despite the passage of generations.
The news was broken on Twitter by television writer Mushtaq Shiekh, who wrote, “Sudha Shivpuri (wife of Om Shivpuri) also popularly known as Baa in Kyun Ki passed away this morning.”
Today India monas her death. Sudha Shivpuri dies at 78. She suffered a stroke on Dec 2, 2013, due to which she had to be hospitalized for almost six months. The stroke had severely affected her motor skills,as well as her career in acting. Her role of Baa in Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi which started in 2000, however remains her most memorable role. Fans and colleagues fondly remembered her as they bade her farewell now.
