Cricket: No Chances of Revival between Pakistan & India

IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla makes it very clear that India is not at any cost interested in playing cricket with Pakistan and maintaining and ties as a matter of fact. He also rejected the idea of Pakistan Vs India cricket match being held at any other country in the world either.

Sunil Gavaskar too was not keen on the idea of India playing with Pakistan. Sunil Gavaskar talking about the Zimbawe tour to Pakistan said: “It will be just a baby step. There are more steps required before it can say that international cricket is back in Pakistan. Whatever the country’s Boards may decide, I am sure not many top Indian players would like to go there and play if they are asked today, After what happened in 2009, most players would refuse to tour the country,”

Though talks between the boards of Pakistan and India were held recently, but there are no immediate chances of revival of cricketing ties between India and Pakistan.

There are two to three issues which need to be sought before taking a final decision on resuming India-Pakistan cricketing ties,” said IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla on Friday, further adding: “there are no immediate chances of revival of cricketing ties between India and Pakistan, and we are also not in favour of playing at a neutral venue.”
