Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been cast as the female lead in ABC pilot “Quantico.” Priyanka Chopra’s international makeover as a kickass FBI trainee Alex Parrish in the newly launched trailer of ABC’s new season of ‘Quantico’ is the latest talking point.  Quantico evolves around FBI recruits who go through training at Quantico, Va. Priyanka Chopra will be starring alongside Jake McLaughlin. Priyanka Chopra in Quantico plays an agent whose past resurfaces soon after she arrives at the training camp in the series. Priyanka Chopra plays the half Indian, half Caucasian damsel with a desire “serve the country” and from the trailer makes one guess that her character is patriotic, liberated, angry and vulnerable-all rolled in one.

Everyone at #Quantico has a secret, but someone’s is bigger and deadlier than the rest. Here’s the first look at ABC’s upcoming drama!

Bollywood stars outing in Hollywood films is the most overrated trend. Apart from Irrfan Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah and Gulshan Grover, nobody from Bollywood could or has really made it to mainstream Hollywood in a big way.

  • Ali Fazal shared the screen with late Hollywood star Paul Walker in his final hit franchise Fast and The Furious 7, which grabbed attention of the fans.
  • Aishwarya Rai‘s lead role in ‘Pink Panther’ confirmed her stardom in the international arena.
  • Nimrat Kaur recently made an appearance in a negative role as a Pakistani ISI agent in the recently concluded series of Homeland 4.
  • Delhi boy Suraj Sharma, who made waves as the protagonist in Life of Pi too had made a mark in Homeland 4, as a Pakistani medical student.
  • Anil Kapoor too had invited applauds as Kamistan President Omar Hassan in Keifer Sutherland’s 24, which inspired him to create the desi version for Colors.
  • Irrfan Khan continues to be the only prominent Indian name in Hollywood with prominent roles in films such as Ang Lee’s ‘Life of Pi’, ‘The Amazing Spider Man’, ‘The Mighty Heart’, Mira Nair’s ‘The Namesake’ among others. Though it’s pretty sad that Irrfan continues to remains pretty much unknown to maddening PR circus despite his two biggies The Jurassic World (in which he plays Simon Masrani, owner of Jurrasic World) and Ron Howard’s Inferno, based on bestseller by Dan Brown where he shares screen with Tom Hanks are in line.

Over Hyped Roles Of Bollywood Stars in Hollywood:

  • Anil Kapoor as rich Indian businessman Brij Nath, flirting with Paula Patton in Mission Impossible
  • It was disappointment to see Amitabh Bachchan‘s few seconds of appearance as a Meyer Wolfsheim in Baz Lurhmann’s Great Gatsby sidelined by the Hollywood biggies Leonardo Di Caprio and Carrey Mulligan.
  • Mallika Sherawat spent several months promoting Jackie Chan action thriller The Myth, and  Mallika Sherawat’s role latter turned out to be an 8-minute cameo.
  • Nargis Fakhri is in news for her ‘Hollywood outing’, which in reality is a cameo in comedy film Spy, directed by Paul Feig.

Let’s keep are fingers crossed and see what fate has in store for Bollywood’s Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra.
