8 years ago, Rohail Hyatt produced a show that have given us hits over the years. Two years ago, the mastermind of the venture handed over the task to Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia of Strings.
India has its own Coke Studio now that is totally inspired by the Pakistani version.
After the successful production of 57 songs, changes have been made in the line-up of the show. Six new producers, Noori, Shani Arshad, Shiraz Uppal, Shuja Haider, Faakhir & Jaffer Zaidi are included to produce episodes of their own.

As everyone is excited to see the new line-up’s production, concerns regarding the show have also seen to be rising in the Music industry of Pakistan.

Atif Aslam refused to participate in the upcoming season of the show as he is concerned about the “monotony that is starting to depict in the style of the show”.
Many other notable artists have serious concerns as well when it comes to the upcoming season of the show. Farhad Humayun is of the view that the show has reached a saturation point and nothing more can be squeezed out of it.

Evolving is what the show needs according to Goher Mumtaz.

Now, Strings have done a remarkable job to produce the earlier seasons but what if a little improvisation in the production can bring a whole new sound to the show?

Many other shows have also surfaced after the launch of Coke Studio. Ufone came up with UTH RECORDS and NESCAFE BASEMENT. According to Xulfi, a new format should be introduced to the show to add to the relevance factor in the music.

Is it the end of Coke Studio or a little bit of  will add to the spark that according to some musicians is lost!

We all definitely have our fingers crossed for the upcoming season of Coke Studio.
