The Review Committee of the LUX Style Awards met to take a second look at the film nominations.
The Jury discussed all outstanding issues and unanimously agreed to move Ahmad Ali Butt’s Nomination from Best Actor to Best Supporting Actor for his role in Jawani Phir Nahin Aani.
The Review Committee decided that as the earlier process was by ballot voting, some adjustments had to be made to the announced nominations. As a result of the move Danish Taimoor climbed into the top five for his performance as the lead role for Wrong Number.
Ahmed Ali Butt has already been awarded at ARY & HUM awards. Ahmed Ali Butt hosting the ARY Film Awards 2016 and HUM Awards, he was awarded with the Viewer’s Choice Category award for Best Performance in Comic Role for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani in ARY Film Awards and Best Actor in Comic Role for Mr. Shamim at the Hum Awards.
The Best Supporting Actor category, this year, will include six nominations. For future consideration of film categories for LUX Style Awards, all Production Houses have to submit in their screener-film copies for all Jury members. The Copies should be supported by Film entrees for categories so as to avoid the placement of nominees in erroneous categories.
